Rasam means the essence. Rasam powder is the essence of all key spices like Pepper, Coriander, Cumin etc. Rasam though found its origin in South India, now become a common one all over the country. Even in West ‘Milgutani’ the English name for Rasam is very popular.
Ingredients : Coriander, Dal, Cumin,Horse gram, Chilli,Pepper, Asafoetida, Fenugreek, Garlic, Turmeric, Curry leaves, Salt,Refined Groundnut Oil, etc.
RECIPE : Make 1 litre of tamarind tomato juice.Fry mustard,chillies and curry leaves in edible oil. Add tamarind /tomato juice,1 spoon Achi Rasam powder,salt to taste and boil for 10 minutes.Garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Tasty rasam is now ready to serve
